Definitely worth a visit! The toll road is open from about end of May right through to the end of October. An excursion to the Alpine reservoirs in Kaprun is a fascinating journey into the mountain world. The fresh air, the lush green of the Alpine pastures, the turquoise water of the reservoirs and the glaciers of the Hohe Tauern are deeply impressive.
Guided tours round the reservoir are possible.
